Wedding Prices
Why we don't put our prices on our website:
As you look at the collections above, it should be evident we do far more than just come to your wedding and "take pictures." However, for most brides, the main concern is finding someone who will take care of them. Price is at best secondary; they just don't know what else to ask when they call. But, consider this:
Call the baker. "How much do you charge for a wedding cake?"
Call the florist. "How much do you charge for flowers for a wedding?"
Call the caterer. "How much do you charge for a buffet for a wedding?"
Call the jeweler. "How much do you charge for wedding rings?"
Call the dress store. "How much is a wedding dress?"
Wouldn't work very well, would it? There are too many variables... too many options. There are different styles of dresses. Different sizes of cakes. Different types of flowers. Not to mention different quality from different florists, bakers, caterers, jewelers, dress makers.... and photographers.
What style of wedding coverage do you want? Traditional? Photojournalistic? Both? What quality of album do you want? How big is your wedding party? How long will you need the photographer? Do you want start to finish coverage? Will the photographer work alone or have an assistant?
•Also, before you consider whether a specific photographer is in your budget, consider how important wedding photography really is to you. If you haven't already, read the article: "How to Have the Most Magical, Romantic, and Emotional Wedding Day of Your Dreams!" Most brides consider it a major priority. Beside your rings, your photographs are the only thing you will still have from your wedding when your 50th anniversary rolls around. With your rings, your pictures are the only reminder through the years of the love, vows, and commitments you share this day. Be sure you budget enough for pictures and don't short change yourself on these precious memories. Don't get me wrong. The photographs themselves are not the most important thing about your wedding day. A photographer who thinks so has an inflated sense of his/her own self worth. The most important aspects of your wedding day are the emotions, the romance, and the relationships. The photographer's goal should be to capture these things. Look for a photographer who understands this.
•Keep in mind, too, that the baker, the florist, the caterer, the jeweler, and the dress maker all create their part, deliver it, and then they are out of there! The photographer, however, is going to spend a significant amount of time with you on the most important day of your life. Just getting prices won't tell you if that person is the one you really want to spend that time with.
•If you're planning your wedding with a tight budget, it's worth it to know if a photographer is in your range. It's also a good idea to call and make sure your wedding date is open on the photographer's schedule.
We will be happy to talk with you on the phone and answer price-range and availability questions, but we won't discuss packages, price or "what does that include?" questions on the phone. Having read this, we hope you understand why.
